Coaches: Introducing Yourself To Your Team
Once you’ve received your roster you’ll want to quickly send an email to your team introducing yourself and any assistant coaches. You don’t have to cover everything, but just letting the team know a bit about yourself and setting expectations for next steps.
Here’s a template you are welcome to use (and customize).

Subject: AYSO: Welcome to [INSERT YOUR TEAM DIVISION AND # HERE]
Hi parents,
My name is [INSERT YOUR NAME HERE], and I will be teaming up with [INSERT ASSISTANT COACH NAMES] to be the coaching team for your children this fall soccer season. We are looking forward to a great season ahead, having fun and helping your children develop as players and teammates.

A few notes on the season:
Practices will begin the week of August 25th. I’m waiting for the final schedule, but my hope is to practice [INDICATE WHAT DAYS OF THE WEEK YOU INTEND TO PRACTICE].
Game schedule is still TBD, but our first games will be Saturday, September 6th. I'll get you the schedule as soon as I have it.
TeamSnap: Stay tuned for an invite to TeamSnap, where we will soon add in the practice & game schedule. We expect you to keep your availability up-to-date -- it's a huge help for coaches to plan practice activities and game lineups. It's also where we assign the weekly responsibility that matters most to our kids: who's on snack duty. :)
Uniforms: Will be distributed at our first practice.
We need refs! If you’re able, please volunteer as a referee, we always need more. We can't run fair, fun games without your support -- it's deeply appreciated. No experience necessary, AYSO will train you!
If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
