Field Setup

On game days, field equipment (goals and corner flags) must be:

  • Set up by the Home team of the first game of the day

  • Put away by the Home team of the last game of the day

Most fields have a storage shed or tube that contains any necessary equipment. Some fields require goals to be assembled or moved. Information on field storage (and combination locks) can be found above.

Fields will already be lined by our lining contractor.

Notes by division

  • U6 (Willow Oaks): Coaches should use the pug goals they were issued at the beginning of the season. No other flags are necessary, but you may choose to use cones to mark the halfline and corners. There is no need to access the field storage tube (just use the cones you were issued).

  • U8 (Las Lomitas): Goals are in the shed and need to be assembled. Corner flags or cones should be set out at each corner.

  • U10

    • Encinal / Upper Laurel: Goals are in the shed and need to be assembled. Weighted bags (in shed) should be placed on the backs/sides of the goals for safety. Corner flags should be put out at the corners. Do not use the large white wheeled goals out on the field, they are too large for a 10U game.

    • Kelly: Permanent goals need to be wheeled into place and corner flags set out.

  • U12 (Burgess / Jack Lyle): Permanent goals need to be wheeled into place and corner flags set out.

  • U14 (Hillview): Permanent goals need to be wheeled into place and corner flags set out.
